Biryani is one of the most famous and delightful recipes in Pakistan. Biryani is famous all over Pakistan but the people of Karachi are fond of this dish. It’s really delightful recipe, especially if you like spicy recipes, it is a recommended choice for you. There are many different types of biryanis like beef biryani which is going to be shared now, chicken biryani, mutton biryani, and so on. A big collection of biryanis is available for vegetarians and non-veg people. Everyone makes this recipe according to his/her own choice and style. Some people like to eat less spicy foods, some likes spicier, and many people like to eat medium spicy foods, so you can make biryani as per your own choice. Ingredients:

  1. Whole grain rice: 1 kg (soak well)
  2. Beef: 1 kg (boneless/boiled and tenderized well)
  3.  Onion: 3-4 medium (thinly sliced)
  4. Oil: ½ cup
  5. Ginger garlic paste: 2 tsp
  6. Tomatoes:  3 mediums (chopped)
  7. Salt: as required
  8. Biryani masala powder: 2 tbsp
  9. Chili powder: 1 tsp
  10. Turmeric powder: ½ tsp
  11. Hot spices powder: 1 tsp
  12. cardamom pod:2,
  13.  green cardamom:2,
  14. cumin and coriander seeds: 1tsp,
  15. cloves and black pepper corns:1tsp
  16. bay leaf: 2 mediums
  17. cinnamon stick: 2 inches
  18. tamarind paste: 3 tbsp
  19. dried plums: 4-5
  20. coriander leaves: chopped
  21. mint leaves: chopped
  22. green chilies: 3-4
  23. yogurt: 1 cup

Steps:

step 1:

Heat oil in a skillet or pan, and fry the onion until they turn finely brown in color.

Step2

Add 1 tbsp of ginger garlic paste to it and fry for a while. It gives a pleasant aroma of ginger-garlic.

Now add medium chopped fresh tomatoes and cook covered with a lid on medium flame till the tomatoes are transformed to paste.

Step4 

Add 1kg of boiled and tenderized beef to it and fry for five minutes.

 This is the step that I enjoy most…

Yes, this step is to add flavors to our biryani, which means we r going to add spices now.

Add salt, biryani masala powder, chili powder, turmeric powder, hot spices powder, all whole spices, plums, and yogurt, and fry till the mixture is smooth and the oil separates on medium flame.

Now add tamarind paste, it will give our biriani a little sour and spicy taste. if you don’t like sour taste, you can skip or reduce the quantity.

Step7

Keep on frying until oil separates from the mixture then add some green chilies, coriander leaves, and mint leaves then turn the flame off.

Step8

On the other side boil 3 cups of basmati rice with the required amount of salt till 80 percent done, drain them and follow these steps:

  • Grease a pot with some oil and spread a layer of boiled rice in it.
  • then spread the prepared beef masala on the layer.
  • Repeat the procedure once again.
  • Simmer for 15 minutes.

Step9

your delicious beef biriani is ready to serve now.

Serve it with raita and salad and enjoy the really delicious and aromatic biryani…
